I saw this post from World 3D Mapping and was immediately drawn in. What a fun and eye catching way to welcome attendees into your event! Imagine projecting branding onto the event space or creating an immersive experience indoors with projection mapping. The opportunities seemed endless. So, what is projection mapping?

According to Frank Gatto & Associates, ‘projection mapping uses technology to project objects onto a surface. Using this kind of special technology, everyday objects are transformed into a display surface for video projection. These objects could be as complex as an entire landscape, or as simple as just a few shapes that help to enhance the ambiance of a room.’
Endless Events wrote a fantastic article about projection mapping at events. They remind us that we don’t all have to have large, 3D and expensive displays like Freightliner’s world recording breaking projection on the Hoover Dam.
