Everything in me wants to throw a huge party to launch Second Banana, a dream of mine that came to fruition. I am so excited to get out there and MC events, host celebrations and help take events to the next level and when I am excited I want to partayyyyy. But, I decided to do something a bit different and use this launch as an opportunity to give back to the community. Throughout the year I have been volunteering at Jean’s Place, transition housing for women in the Portland area. We come in once a month and cook the women a meal and entertain them with BINGO (including all the great prizes!). So what better way to launch Second Banana than by producing an event to raise money for the wonderful women at Jean’s Place?
If you want to join the event will take place on Wednesday, December 4th at Starday Tavern starting at 7:00pm. UPDATE: I am happy to report that we raised over $1,500 for the women at Jean’s Place. The Portland community came together and we could not be happier. Thank you for all your support! We look forward to making this a yearly event!!
